Graduation 2008

Remy graduated from preschool on Tuesday, there were 13 graduates in our class this year. I have been doing preschool graduation for so long, it was very surreal to have one of my own in the group. As we presented them their diploma we did a little spotlight, here was Remy's:

Favorite Color: Purple (up until this very moment it had ALWAYS been blue, maybe the social advancement made him reconsider?)

Favorite Food: Sausage

Favorite Thing about school: Playing with Danny

Favorite Person in the whole world: mom and dad (I LOVE this age!!)

What do you want to be when you grow up: UPS man like my dad

Remy, you are such a great little guy with such a passion for learning, carry it thru your life and you will do well!

POTCBFC Part 3

We had such a fun time last Saturday! It was G&G Bradshaw's 60th Wedding Anniversary so we went to Wellington to celebrate! Just the thought of having 60 years together is amazing...I can't even imagine all they have been through, good and bad, and it was so awesome to see everyone running around the church (OK, maybe not everyone, mostly just the great grandkids and Dale...hehehe) and to be able to look at the legacy they have created.

Grandma sends out letters to the family every so often and sometimes at the end of the letter she puts a current count of the family as it grows and she always writes "see what happens when two people get married?" It truly is something to think about!

I love seeing everyone and reveling in the joy of a large family and all the fun it brings. I have one sister and 1 cousin on my moms side and a few more on my dads side, but only 2 that we really kept in touch with regularly growing up. Needless to say it is fun to be with all of the Bradshaw family and talk and see our kids grow and have fun together!

On a related note, the Charlie Bradshaw fan club met while we were at the party and Tate got his moment with his totally cool, really chubby cousin Charlie! Here are a couple pictures from the day:

What, you again???

Coming home from church last Sunday:
Mom: What did you talk about in your class today?
Remy: Jesus again, that's all we talk about!

The Wiz

So, today Tate wanted popcorn, not really to eat, he just likes to watch it pop in the microwave. So, I finally gave in and let him indulge in a 3 minute excitement. It goes like this...Tate holds the bag of unpopped corn and I let him stand on the middle part of the stove and put the popcorn in the microwave above the stove. I stand next to him as he watches the popcorn pop.
All was going as planned, really, as it had so many other times, until...Tate pees all over the stove (Oh, did I mention he was naked?). Well, that will really up the resale value. Does anyone know if pee will ignite an especially large flame in my gas range? I guess I'll let you know.

Happy Birthday Tate!

Our Baby is 2 years old today!

May 7th 2006

11:14 am

7 lb 4oz

Tate loves to eat, he will eat just about anything, chips and salsa, roast beef sandwiches, veggies, fruit, but his favorites are oatmeal, strawberries, and yogurt. The only things we have found that he won't eat are watermelon and Tater Tots (it would be cannibalism, you know).

Tate absolutely adores his older brother Remy and wants to do everything he does!

He only says about 10 words clearly, but is the best communicator I know!

He loves, loves, loves babies and would be happy to hold, feed and love babies all day long!

He has a stuffed kitty named Mow, Mow that he carries around and naps with.

We love you Tate and we are glad you are part of our family!

Ward Party!

So, we had our first party as the not so newly created 10th Ward (we split in January), but it was a Luau and it was over all pretty fun. We did make quite a scene there though. We were standing in line waiting for our turn to make our Hawaiian Haystacks and Remy saw a friend of his. I told him he could go over and say hello. Well, little did I know he was going to RUN over there. He started running and in a split second plowed into a little girl and her plate of haystack. Her food went flying into the air, she disappeared into the crowd and Remy ran back to me like his pants were on fire. I was sort of embarrassed, not too surprised, but I felt really bad for that poor little anonymous girl. The craziest thing was seeing the look on this one woman's face as I came to clean up the mess. She had her mouth hanging open with a look of COMPLETE and udder shock, almost as if I had been the one to plow into the girl, not a 5 year old. It was pretty funny. I guess she has those unheard of kids that sit quietly with their arms folded in their laps and say, "Yes Mother" and "Yes Father" with an air of English accent.
Well, what a way to make an impression! I wouldn't expect anything less!

P.S. We did find out who the victim was, it turned out to be the little girl of the family that Darrin home teaches. They were very gracious and accepted our profuse apologizes. I guess we'll have to send cookies this month with Darrin for home teaching.

P.P.S. This is the same family that when Darrin and his companion went to HT last month, the 4 year old opened the door and said, "My mom and dad are upstairs getting dressed, they were naked."
