Lucky Number 7

My little baby

Turned 7.

Wow! We had a fun weekend. Remy and Grandma O and Mommy went to see Alice in Wonderland 3D, and we really liked it. Remy was so giddy about seeing something in 3D and it was so fun to watch him sitting there in his big glasses and just giggling about how cool it was.

Remy, has turned into quite a young man. I can't believe that the little 5 pound baby that we brought home from the hospital has just finished first grade.

Remy is very social, he has never known a stranger, and makes friends wherever he goes. His first grade class voted him "best ideas" this year, and it fits!
Sometimes he drives me crazy with his "ideas", but it truly makes him a fun and wonderful person!

Remy is a carbon copy of his mom...good and bad.....he has the most tender heart.

Lately he has been taking care of his little brother more for me. He sits in the bathroom with him while he takes a bath and reads him books or plays with him. He'll make sure his face is wiped clean, let his water out, and wrap him in a towel when he is done. He is a very good example to his little brother, Tate.

Tate looks up to Remy. He loves it when Remy reads him books, or lets him use his doggy to sleep with. Tate returns the kindness when Remy wants to use his cloud blanket.
Tate gets very upset if Remy gets hurt and he will smother him with hugs and kisses.

Remy is a very good student and works very hard. He has worked hard to improve his reading this year and has jumped 11 spots in the Direct Reading Assessment.

He loves loves loves school, and sometimes likes to go to church.

He loves to watch movies, and hates it when his time for the day is over. Currently he likes to play school and be the teacher.

He and his friend Hayden set up a classroom the other day in the basement. Remy was the teacher and Hayden was the principal. I walked downstairs to check on them and they had their 2 brothers and sister sitting in "class" dutifully listening to their teacher and principal.

When Remy was barely able to walk he started "collecting". He would carry around any bag he could find...a shopping bag, a gift bag, a purse, my primary bag (contents dumped out, of course) and fill it with his treasures. He would carry these from place to place and unload and set up and re-load and move again.

When he was about 3 he "moved" about 5 times a day. We finally convinced him that he needed to trade up from a purse to a more socially acceptable briefcase when he is playing
.

We sure love this boy and we are so grateful to have him in our family! We look forward to seeing what life will bring him and us!!! We love you Remy!
