You know, I don't usually use this blog to brag about my two fabulous boys and one great man, because, that might be seen as a little silly, but today....well, I just have to brag a little bit.
Tate is turning into such a wonderful little 3 year old, he helps out with the dishes every day (all but the sharp knives!), he makes his bed every morning without being reminded, has been riding his cute little two wheeler with out training wheels for 1 whole week now, he always asks for more vegetables at dinner time, he is learning his letter blends, like 'sh', 'th', and 'ch' and he even balanced my checkbook for me last night!
But, we have been having a few issues when it comes to mess making.
Case in Point:
1. We were at our friends, the Flinders, playing today when I looked out the back window to see ALL the boys playing in the super fun mud bog up to their knees in mud. And there is Tate, standing naked in the mud bog.
2. After a strong talking to, a spray down with the hose and a bath Tate was playing with Remy outside in our backyard. I was doing laundry in the laundry room when I hear Remy yelling, "No Tate you're going to flood the house!!!!!" I come running into the kitchen to find Tate watering our dining room with the hose.
3. While I am cleaning up the flood I look outside and see Tate peeing by the swing set.
4. After dinner we were cleaning up and I saw Tate pouring his glass of water onto his plate.
Yes folks, he is giving me a run for my money. But then, at bedtime, he shares his blanket with me while I rub his back and then rubs my back while I rub Remy's back. Then I look into those big blue eyes and forgive him for everything. Almost.
(By the way...Tate can't really do all of those fabulous things in the first paragraph...just teasing!)

Holy Smokes!
Just had to post a couple of Tateisms (great vowel usage).
I told Tate we were going to get Remy's teacher a present, he got very excited and said, "Let's get her a TRACTOR!"
While we were at Target getting Mrs. Walker not a tractor and we walked by the pharmacy. There was a large picture of a pharmacist holding a bottle of medicine. Tate asked who it was. I replied "It's a pharmacist, he gives us medicine."
Tate replied, "Is that for the cows?"

Motherhood Olympics, summer games
Welcome to the Motherhood Olympics Summer Games!!!
Events Include:
Minivan Madness
Mothers must, in reverse, navigate minivan out of regulation sized driveway while avoiding bicycles, scooters, tricycles, helmets, shoes, and bubbles. Each item hit by said minivan will cause a point deduction.
Race to pick up Little Johnny from school.
Mothers will be alerted for this phase of the game right as the "school bell" is ringing.
They will be timed as to how quickly they can load up all other accompanying children of the household and race to elementary school before Little Johnny is escorted by frowning, head shaking teacher into the office to wait for mommy.
Time will continue to accrue if Mother has to unload all children and schlep into office to retrieve crying Johnny. (only 6 more days of school, you know!)
Fastest Block in the West
In this summer game mothers will be timed on how quickly, yet thoroughly, sunblock is applied to squirming children.
Cuts and Scrapes 101
Mothers will be evaluated on over all knowledge and response to minor cuts, scrapes and bruises that inevitably accompany summer outside play.
Stations will include:
**Road Rash Rally**
**Have a Nice Trip, See You Next Fall**
**Bicycle Crash and Burn**
**Head Butt Bonanza**
**Rocks and Roll*
**Sliver City**
In the event of a tie, Mothers will be tested on their ability to accurately name the flavors of Tropical and Original Otter Pops based on color alone.
Happy Summer to all of the Mothers out there!

112th Post!
Wow, I can't believe it's the 112th post! To celebrate I wanted to list 112 things that I love about Blogging!!!!
Just kidding.
My camera is on the fritz and it is really frustrating me. We have had some momentous events here people! I have pictures! I just can't get them ON the computer. Gggrrr.
I know am the proud mother of a 3 year old and a 6 year old. Remy and Tate have both matured in so many ways in the last little while.
Tate is looking like a boy, not a little boy anymore. His face has filled out and he has such a mature look to him.
Remy is surprising us lately with his sudden interest in taking care of the house and keeping things clean and tidy. I about passed out the other day when he asked me if he could vacuum for me. He is becoming very responsible and I am living in the moment!
Our family is going thru many life changing events, and my most favorite is that, as of today, I am officially a Stay At Home Mom. Yipee!!!!! We are so blessed to be able to make this change for our family and I am loving the idea that I get to focus on our family with all my energies now! Be careful, I might just show up at your door with freshly baked muffins. Just call me Suzy Homemaker.
As soon as I get a new cord for my camera I will be back to posting pictures galore, until then....

Finally finished....sort of.
I finally finished painting Remy's Beatles room and got the pictures, quotes and records up on the one wall. I have his quilt done, now I just need to get pillow cases and to put up the Abbey Road poster. But, here are some pictures of it. It's pretty bold, but Remy loves it and I am pretty satisfied.
The famous Yellow Submarine (Remy's favorite Beatles song)
Three Beatles Records, Some Pictures That Remy Drew, and Some Favorite Beatles Song Lines By Family Members....
