Food! (for cheap)

I joined the community food co-op (bountiful baskets to some), thru Urban Crossroads Center. I went to pick up our first order of food this past Saturday, and I was very impressed!

This is what I got:
1 lb. lean ground beef
2 8 oz. sirloin steaks
2 lbs. chicken breast (boneless, skinless)
2 pounds pork, cubed

2 avacados
5 bananas
5 oranges
5 pears
5 lbs red potatoes
small carton cherry tomatoes
1 bunch asparagus
1 head cabbage

California Part 2

While we were in California we took the time to go to the beach and have a little fun. We didn't even bring swimsuits with us because we figured it would be way to cold for the boys in the water.

We thought wrong. They would have totally played in the freezing water...I guess we won't under estimate the little guys next time!


When we arrived there were a couple of people feeding the sea gulls some bread. They were nice enough to give the kids some bread to feed the birds. They had fun being so close to the birds, and we only had 1 out of the 7 of us get pooped on!
